I needed to have them all c-section. My first baby was nearly 9lbs (I don’t even weigh 100lbs) that being said, my pregnancies caused diastasis recti and some loose skin. It is not awful looking, and I honestly didn’t think about having it repaired until my younger sister had hers fixed along with a Tummy tuck about a year and a half ago. (Her first were twins) She says she feels stronger than ever, pleased with the appearance as well. So I decided I would look into it. My youngest is ten now, so maybe it’s time. I scheduled a consultation with a plastic surgeon and now have a date for surgery. However, I keep questioning myself because of the pain, recovery time and scaring. Praying to know if it is really right for me. I have a very sway back, bulgy muscles, some back pain but not horrible, not the best posture, weak bladder… but like I said, my tummy doesn’t look bad for having 4 c-sections. I feel vain, but am worried about the scars it will leave. Is that a good trade? If I cancel the surgery, what if I regret it later on? I’m in my mid 40’s and feel like if I’m going to do it, I should do it now while young(er) and healthy. But what if I regret the surgery/scars and wish I would have just accepted my body how it was? But what if the surgery helps me feel better and stronger and I end up being really grateful???? Not sure what the right thing is. Maybe I’m just getting scared.
