Green Beans – Simple, Healthy, and Delicious

Description

A simple, quick way to cook fresh green beans.


Ingredients

Scale
  • one pound fresh green beans, ends chopped off, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease – remember, traditional fats are your friend! Stay away from vegetable oils and hydrogenated oils! (Learn how to strain your bacon grease here.)
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced, or the equivalent of garlic powder (where to buy garlic powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt – adjust to your preference (where to buy sea salt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper – adjust to your preference (where to buy pepper)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in large saucepan.
  2. Sauté over low-medium heat, uncovered, until cooked through – about ten minutes, depending on your cooking temperature.

Notes

Be sure to stir often so they don’t stick and burn.
